About King Harbor Yacht Club

Welcome to the King Harbor Yacht Club Web Site! Our Club is located in beautiful King Harbor, Redondo Beach, California. Our members enjoy a spectacular view from the clubhouse, looking right out at the Pacific Ocean on one side and down the channels of the harbor on the other. We love King Harbor because it is big enough to have 1,458 slips, but ocean access is only five minutes from any place in the harbor.

King Harbor Yacht Club members participate in a diversity of on-water and social activities. We have sailboat racers and cruisers, powerboat cruisers, anglers, divers, kayakers, stand-up paddle boarders, and members who just like to talk about boats. If your interest is related to boating, you will find members at King Harbor Yacht Club with similar interests.

  • NORTH AMERICA'S GALAPAGOS (The Historic Channel Islands) September 30, 2020, @ 7 pm. Put this on your calendar!!! Join us on Zoom for a very fascinating adventure about our neighbors to the West, The Channel Islands on September 30th at 7 pm. Corinne Heyning Laverty (a good friend of members Richard and Nancy Doyle) will bring the Channel Islands to us in an online adventure through the very interesting history of the islands, the unique animals, flora, and fauna only found on these islands. She will present a stunning slide show featuring beautiful color and historic photographs of California's eight Channel Islands and the pre-WWII scientific expeditions that occurred there. Her discussion will highlight not only the beauty of the islands but the unique animals and plants that live nowhere else on the planet. She will then introduce to you the scientists who dared to do what no one, before or since, has done dishing on their motivations and ambitions and concluding with a synopsis of what was accomplished and what happened to them the day Pearl Harbor was bombed and they were stranded on an island in the Pacific Ocean.  The zoom information is in the weekly e-blast.
