Just saw your post. We (Fred and I) put together the CHRF Sunday races. They are posted on the race schedule and are once a month on Sundays. If you show up at the club around 12:00 to 12:30 we always have boats that need crew. The race is an inverted start so start times are between 2 - 2:30ish. At about 12 to 12:30 is when the skippers come pick up their start times and is a good time to find a boat to crew on. These races are low key and lots of fund. BBQ and trophys are at the club after the race.
I am a long-time sailor and Catalina 375 owner (not looking to race our boat, just looking for time on the racecourse). I have limited racing experience from 20+ years ago. If you need additional hand(s), or just ballast, I would love to crew. Contact info: david.ridgway@verizon.net or (213) 446-3500.
