Club Status

KHYC, in response to the updated County Health Officer Order, has resumed outdoor dining on the patio, and I encourage you to give it a try. Our new chef Marcos Delgado has been busy creating some wonderful new menu items and the staff is looking forward to serving you again. Your flag officers and board members are looking forward to seeing you back at the club too!

Many of the protocols have not changed. But some have and there are some additional requirements that you should be aware of. Please remember the Covid-19 Pandemic continues to be a serious health matter and the county requires the club to follow the County Health Officer Order and these Protocols for the health and safety of our members, staff and families. A complete list of requirements will be posted at the club. The club is also required to follow the state’s guidelines for outdoor structures which promote constant air flow to reduce the chance of infection. Last year we added some canopies and some outdoor heaters. We will be making some adjustments in order to comply with the guidelines. Please remember to dress appropriately for the cooler air and changing conditions.
As always, KHYC is truly … a great place to be! Tom Polizzi, Commodore, King Harbor Yacht Club

The Clubhouse remains closed to comply with the “stay at home order” mandated by state & local agencies except for the patio dining hours above. The KHYC patio is otherwise closed, except to support on-the-water recreation as allowed. Permitted activities include the launching and retrieval of vessels (boats, SUPs, kayaks, etc.) and maintenance on boats in the east yard. For the safety and health of all members and employees, the club requires social distancing. Mouth and nose coverings (masks) are required to be correctly worn at all times when on club property.
Neither members nor guests may congregate for socializing, eating, or drinking on KHYC property, other than during scheduling dining hours on the patio. This applies to the patio, docks, balconies, BBQs, and parking lots.
